Scouts we will be hiking the forest ridge trailhead.  This is a conservation site and is home to a number of endangered species.  Our Scout leader Adam will be leading this hike.

LOGISTICS:  We will be starting the hike at 3:00 at the Forest Ridge Trailhead.  If you need to, you can drop your Scout off at Scouter Sam’s house (1911 Terisu Cove) by 2:30pm such that your younger/older scouts can attend their usual UCC session. Please let him know (512-921-6729) and he would be happy to provide transportation.  Scouts picked up this way will be returned to UCC by ~5:15.

DIRECTIONS: From the intersection of 2222 and 360 head north on 360.  Pass the light at Lakewood Dr. and after 2nd creek crossing, move into left turn lane and turn left on the access road west of the loop 360.  The access road will immediately turn left and go down the hill. There is a parking lot on the right.

Scouts please make sure to bring:

  • Weather appropriate clothing including rain gear if necessary.  Your ten essentials for hiking. Do not bring fire making kits and if you do not have your whittler card please don’t bring a knife.

As always, be sure to bring a (filled) water bottle.
